When not enough leaders and/or parents are present, the events do not go as smoothly. Committee Chairpersons reported as follows: 1.Committee Chair/Troop Treasurer: a.Treasurer's Report: Bob F. reported the Troop finances were in order. b.Dues: $80.00/Scout if paid BEFORE October 31st $100.00/Scout if paid AFTER October 31st Please send your payments to Bob F., Troop Treasurer. 2.Calendar Change: The dates for Camp Royaneh have been changed to June 22-28, 2008. 3.Eagle Report: John C., Eagle Scout Coordinator, reported as follows: a.2 Scouts actively working on approved Eagle Projects. b.Neal Lundy Court of Honor: November 2007 c.Sam Weber Court of Honor - January 2008 d.Proclamation for Eagle Scouts at San Carlos City Hall - Monday, October 22, 2007, 6:30 p.m. 3.Troop Rules/Guidelines: The Committee is still actively working on the Troop Rules/Guidelines and hope to have it published before the end of the year. 4.Popcorn Sales: Bruce P. reported a good turnout for popcorn sales. Approximately 60% of Scouts reached their 20 unit goal. Please make arrangements to pick up your popcorn on Friday, November 16, 2007. 5.Summer Camps: a.Brian J. reported Royaneh is set for June 22-28, 2008; and Emerald Bay is set for July 15-21, 2008. b.Robin F. reported Double H Ranch is set for July 24-31, 2008. 11 Scouts/parents signed up so far. One spot open on this trek. Don't miss the opportunity to be a part of Troop 321's very first Double H Ranch adventure.! REMINDER: SCHOLARSHIPS ARE AVAILABLE TO ANY SCOUT WHO FINDS ANY EVENT, WHETHER IT BE A CAMPING TRIP, BACKPACKING, SUMMER CAMP, ETC., FINANCIALLY DIFFICULT. PLEASE CONTACT SCOUTMASTER, DAVE H., OR TREASURER/ COMMITTEE CHAIR, BOB F. 6.Pack 321 Visit to Troop 321: On November 12, 2007, San Carlos Pack 321 (Heather Elementary/Tierra Linda) 2nd Year Webelos will be attending our Scout Meeting. Remember to welcome them and show them what Scouting is all about! 7.Transition: A.Scoutmaster: Scoutmaster Dave H. will be stepping down as Scoutmaster at the end of the 2007/2008 Scout season. If you are interested in taking over his position, please contact Scoutmaster Dave to express your interest. B.Treasurer: Bob F will be stepping down as Troop Treasurer at the end of the 2007/2008 Scout season. If you have accounting, bookkeeping or banking skills, or if you are just plain ole good at math, please contact Scoutmaster Dave if you are interested in taking over this position. C.Troop Committee Chair: Bob F will be stepping down as Troop Committee Chair at the end of the 2007/2008 Scout season. This job mainly consists of rechartering our Troop each year in December - not a time-consuming job; and attending Committee meetings (3rd Wednesday of each month - approximately 9X per year).
