Please contact Dave Hendryx if you are interested in filling one of the open events. It would be unfortunate to have to cancel an event, because there are not enough adults to supervise. When not enough leaders and/or parents are present, the events do not go as smoothly. Committee Chairpersons reported as follows: 1.Committee Chair/Troop Treasurer: Bob F. reported the Troop finances were in order. Total profit from popcorn sales: $2,015.00. 2.Order of the Arrow Elections - February 12, 2008: Robin F has contacted OA re: conducting the OA Elections on February 12. To date he has not received a confirmation. If no confirmation is forthcoming or no one is available, the OA Elections will be postponed. 3Troop Rules/Guidelines: Kristin H. reported the Troop Handbook in now on the Troop website. Thank you, Kristin. 4.Bridging Webelos: 9 Webelos Scouts will be bridging over on January 28, 2008, from Pack 321. Dave to contact Webelos Coordinator re: other San Carlos Packs ready to bridge to Boy Scouts. Pack 65 is scheduled to bridge in March. 5.Troop Shirts and Scarves: Brian J has obtained new Troop scarves (new, ultra-cool design!). If you would like to purchase a new scarf, the cost is $5.00. They look terrific. Thanks, Brian. Bill M will contact Steve C regarding obtaining new Troop Class B shirts. 6.Boy Scout Clothing, Camping Gear, etc.: ASM Bruce and Scout Connor P have several donations of Scout clothing, a pair of boots, misc. camping gear, backpacks, etc. available. Please contact Bruce and/or Connor if you would like to take a look at what's available or if you would like to donate any equipment/clothing. The Committee is also considering having a clothing and camping gear swap. 7.Eagle Scouts: John C reported that Dan W and Kevin T have completed their paperwork for Eagle. No new date for Sam W's Eagle Court of Honor. Stephen F and Dan H are working on projects. 8.Summer Camps: Brian J reported that there are plenty of openings for Royaneh, Catalina and Rugged (High Adventure at Catalina). If you are interested in attending, please contact Mr. J. 9.Committee Position Succession: A.Scoutmaster: Robin F has agreed to take over as Scoutmaster. He will be shadowing Dave for the next 6 months. Thank you, Robin. B.Treasurer: Bob F will be stepping down as Troop Treasurer at the end of the 2007/2008 Scout season. If you have accounting, bookkeeping or banking skills, or if you are just plain ole good at math, please contact Scoutmaster Dave if you are interested in taking over this position. C.Troop Committee Chair: Bob F will be stepping down as Troop Committee Chair at the end of the 2007/2008 Scout season. This job mainly consists of rechartering our Troop each year in December - not a time-consuming job; and attending Committee meetings (3rd Wednesday of each month - approximately 9X per year). Committee usually meets at Troop Committee Chair's home. If you are interested in this position, please contact Scoutmaster Dave. D.Venture Crew Advisor: If anyone is interested in taking over as Venture Crew Advisor or just curious about what the job entails, please contact Rick E.
