If this occurs, we will look for alternative locations.\ \ Committee Chairpersons reported as follows:\ \ 1.Financial Report: Treasurer Bob F., reported that the amount budgeted for finances and the amount spent were essentially equal for the 2008/2009 Scout season. After careful review of the Treasurer's report by the Committee is was unanimous that the dues shall remain the same for the 2009/2010 Scout season.\ \ 2.DUES: $60 per scout is due on or before October 31, 2009. If you have not paid your dues by October 31, 2009, the dues will be $100.\ \ 3.Popcorn: Elizabeth L, Popcorn Chairperson, reported the following:\ \ a.Popcorn sales are in full swing NOW. So, ask your parents to put up the sales form at work, sell to your neighbors and friends. If you have out of town relatives, they can still purchase popcorn from you. Contact Elizabeth L. for details.\ \ b.Show and Sell popcorn has been picked up and is ready for sale. Elizabeth L. will be taking names for shifts to cover Show and Sell sales. \ \ c.Elizabeth will announce 2 "Popcorn Blitz Days." Popcorn Blitz is when Scouts get together and sell popcorn door-to-door in one neighborhood at a time.\ \ d.Prizes. Discussions were held regarding prizes for popcorn sales. The Committee unanimously adopted the following:\ \ Cash prizes for top three sellers and Trails-End patch for everyone who sells popcorn.\ \ Fill-It-Up (Every line filled in on an order form. You may NOT put a person's name down more than once). If a Scout fills up a sheet, he will earn the prizes offered by Trails-End (1 Marshmallow Bow & Mallow, Certificate of Completion, specially designed patch and $15 camp certificate).\ \ Every Scout who fills up an order form or sells $300 or more in popcorn sales will get to throw a pie in the face of a person to be determined. Pie throwing will occur during the Troop Holiday Party.\ \ For every family that wishes not to sell popcorn, a $40 donation in lieu of popcorn sales is requested. \ \ e.Projected revenue to Pack from sales is $2,000.\ \ f.Popcorn Kick-off: Meeting Tuesday, October 22, 2009, 7:30 a.m. at Mahany Hall. In addition to the Popcorn Kick-off, Elizabeth L. will be offering the Salesman Merit Badge. Any Scouts who already have the Salesman Merit Badge are encouraged to help Elizabeth L. teach the badge. Yosemite is beautiful this time of year. The trees are starting to change. Don't miss this opportunity to see Yosemite in all her fall colors. \ \ 7.Training - Training Coordinator, Bruce P., wishes to remind all adults to get trained. A trained adult is an informed adult. All training information can be found on www.pacsky.org. The University of Scouting coming up on November 7, 2009, at Ralston Middle School in Belmont is an excellent opportunity to get training.
