Committee Chairpersons reported as follows: 1. Financial Report: Treasurer Wendy M., reported on the Troops financial status. Still some outstanding dues. Treasurer Wendy M., will contact those families to confirm they are still going forward in Scouts. 2. DUES: $60 per scout is due on or before October 31, 2009. If you have not paid your dues by October 31, 2009, the dues will be $100. 3. Upcoming Outdoor Adventure Trips and Events: A. November 7-8, 2009: Yosemite - Upper Pines. Yosemite is beautiful this time of year. The trees are starting to change. Don't miss this opportunity to see Yosemite in all her fall colors. If you are not going on the Yosemite trip, please consider signing up at the Foster City Council to take some training at the University of Scouting on November 7, 2009, at Ralston Middle School. B. Dec. 5-6, 2009: Sunset Beach. The majority of the State Parks are still not taking reservations. Outdoor Coordinator Karen T., will continue to check in with those parks and attempt to obtain reservations. C. Jan. 16-17, 2010 Monterey Bay Kayaking - Group Camp at Veterans' Park is reserved. 4. Training - Training Coordinator, Bruce P., wishes to remind all adults to get trained. A trained adult is an informed adult. All training information can be found on www.pacsky.org. The University of Scouting coming up on November 7, 2009, at Ralston Middle School in Belmont is an excellent opportunity to get training. PacSky is taking reservations now. 5. Philmont 2011:PacSky Council has reserved 2 Treks for Philmont 2011. Robin F. will attempt to secure two Treks for our Troop as well. If you have already been to Philmont, remember there is the opportunity to return as a worker. If you are interested, please contact Scoutmaster Robin F., and he will advise you on how to apply. 6. Thank you Jeff W. and Paul K. for taking over attending the Round Tables. 9. National Youth Leader Training (formerly JLT): June 14-18, 2010 - 250 Scout Ranch Road, Boulder Creek. The Training is open to registered Scouts who: * are Star, Life, or Eagle Scouts as of the date of application; * will be 14 years old as of August 1, 2009 (where there is a troop need [such as SPL or ASPL] and space is available, first-class Scouts or 131/2 year olds will be considered); * currently hold a leadership position in their unit or are recommended by the Scoutmaster as being ready to assume a leadership position; and * will have read the Senior Patrol Leader Handbook. 10. Eagle Requirement Camp - Royaneh: Still need some Eagle-required Merit Badges? Royaneh offers two Eagle Requirement Camps: Spring Session: March 15-20, 2010 Summer Session: June 21-26, 2010 For more information check out http://www.sfbac.org Look under "Camping" and then "Eagle Requirements."
