Dear Scouts and Families,

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Latest news.... Thank you to those who responded. I only need two more scouts! Please help! I also corrected the dates.
Please wear scout uniform on Saturday.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

This is Peter Steadman and my 18th birthday is 8 weeks away and I am starting my Eagle Project next weekend Saturday, January 29th.

I will need 4-5 Scouts to help me distribute flyers in San Carlos.

Please can you help? My project is a pet drive for the Peninsula Humane Society. I am distributing flyers and asking for towel, blankets, newspaper, paper towel and cash donations. I also need help the following weekend to re-trace the route and pick-up the donations. It would be good if younger scouts can help so they can see what an Eagle project is all about.

The schedule looks like this:

Saturday, January 29 (9:30 am – 12:30): Distribute Flyers. Meet at my house. I will have the flyers and 3 drivers ready. One driver and at least two Scouts per car needed to distribute flyers in San Carlos only. Pizza lunch will be provided. (Need 4-5 scouts)

Saturday, February 5 (10:00 am -12:00): Pick-up donations. Meet at my house. We will retrace the route and pick-up the donations, Come back to my house and sort by group. I know there is a Scout Mid-way this weekend but if you are not going and can help that would be great. Lunch/snacks provided. (Need 3-4 scouts).

Sunday, February 6 (11:00 am – 4:30): Sort and Wash. Meet at my house, Sorting donations and do laundry on the towels in downtown San Carlos. This will be a good lesson on how to work washing machine and dryer. (Need 3 - 4 scouts). Lunch & snacks provided. 1 – 2 hour commitments welcomed. (11 – 1 or 1 -3 or 3 – 4:30).

My address:
2835 Brittan Avenue
San Carlos, CA
Home: 593-9995

Please help! Please reply to this email and let me know if you can help on any of these days or call my home phone 593-9995. A ride home can also be provided to any scout who can help me. Service hours will be provided if you need them for scouts, or school.

Sincerely,
Peter Steadman
